Wanted a book that a complete beginner could understand without any knowledge of book keeping or Sage. This book delivers what it says.

I have just bought this straight forward book and am delighted with it. The diagrams, easy structure and crystal clear explanations make it an ideal starter for someone new to Sage.I'd recommend it particularly to those who do not have time to wade through densely written manuals.

Why do books get written with padding in them? The first chapter of this book is basic accounting technique, good stuff for the beginner. Then there's about 15 pages of how-to-use-windows (e.g. point at a menu item and click stuff). There's a few chapters of watered down Sage manual followed by a chapter on search engines??? Yep, instructions on how to use Excite. Worse than a waste of money.

... If you've already got the Instant Accounting User's Guide that came with the Software, then you don't need to buy this book - it won't tell you anything new.
