5 out of 5 stars Excellent Book - I would recommend it   July 12, 2002
Although i had previous programming experience (albeit limited) i progressed in leaps and bounds after reading this. Its more for a beginner but i still use it as a reference cos it comes in handy. i have read a couple of visual basic books too but find myself referring to this one to clarify stuff in the other books. an excellent book and would strongly recommend it to anyone beginning programming (and not just in vba (excel) either).

Don't get me wrong this is a very helpful little book but once read it offers very little in terms of reference for future projects. It's strength is that you can learn enough to give you a very good grounding very quickly but once learnt you have very little impetus to ever pick up the book again.

As soon as you have grasped the basics you end up with more questions than answers. This book either needs a better reference section or a guide to translating Microsofts enigmatic Help Screens. Maybe the author is tempting you to buy his VBA Bible?
