About 150 5-10 minute 'learn-by-example' lessons which will get the beginner up to speed on Excel VBA before they progress onto one of the comprehensive Excel VBA 1000 page 'inside out' tomes (if so desired). This book takes you from the simple process of recording macros through to the more comples aspects of using Excel with VBA in it's 337 pages. It keeps the explanations concise but descriptive and keeps the emphasis firmly on learning by doing.
Each chapter has, on average, 10 two page examples. I worked through the 15 chapters one at a time but you could pick up this book, do one example and put it down again if you liked (as long as you don't leave it to long before picking it up again).
The CD-ROM usefully includes all the source code used, an electronic version of the book and some add in software (which I haven't looked at).
All in all a great guide through the early stages of learning VBA for Excel. If you like to 'Read less - Learn More' (as it says on the cover) then this is the book for you.
