I'm a big fan of Rational Press books - unlike the other weighty tomes out there they seem to be able to give you the information you need in a very readable format.
I bought Zac Woodall's book after seeing it listed as a resource by the SharePoint Designer team, as I was interested in understanding more about how Access 2007 templates could be used to enhance SharePoint applications. Access 2007 and templates are Zac's specialist area, and the book gives you what you need to develop your own Access templates for both standalone and SharePoint use.
Book owners can also download some handy resources including a .Net project for creating an Access Template by moving selected parts from an existing template.
Access 2007 is a very different animal from previous versions, and if you want a deeper understanding of what Microsoft are trying to achieve with it I would definitely recommend reading this book.
