 Want to increase your computing knowledge? September 11, 2003
I used this excellent step-by-step book to learn some new skills (spreadsheets, graphs, databases) as well as updating and brushing up my word-processing knowledge along the way. The layout is clear and simple - there is a good index. It can used in conjunction with a course or at home individually. Very explanatory, easy-to-read text makes this a must for learners and partially experienced computer users.

Being a experienced user of computers and manuals this book gives very clear examples and is easy for someone to follow at home if they can't attend a course.

all in all not too bad but the instruction and methodology really need to be together,
i found myself spending more time leafing through this book to find the instructions,that seem to be scattered everywhere exept where they are needed
this book has been a pain... to follow!

This book covers all i am learning on my college course, even though i am in my fifties it is so simple to understand, and have recommended it to many people who are doing computer courses.

Having read this book and the office 97 one, I am greatly impressed. It feels like the author has read my mind and been to my classes.Its layout and easy to understand approch means that I will be using it as a core text in all the Clait and IBT2 that I teach. Every Tutor, training centre and learner should have a copy
