Good product. i use xp window and found the installations easy and simple. for a basic pctv i recommend this product.

I bought one of these 3 months ago and it still isnt working go to pinnacles support forum and find lots of people having same trouble due to poor software I have downloaded loads of patches etc , reinstalled several times still nothing. I am computer literate and have had no problems with any other hard/software.

If you're going to buy this product be prepared for a lot of trouble and very little joy.
Seemingly, they haven't got it sorted yet for Windows XP SP2 (Irrespective of operating system, I'd still avoid this garbage like the plague).
In addition, they only seem to employ a moron called Martin Goldsmith on their helpdesk. He had me download over 100Mb of what turned out to be wrong data. At one point he told me to scan the actual card (I took a photo instead). His final suggestion was, try another PC!
Don't go for the cheap option - buy something other than Pinacle PCTV - you'll be better off in the long run.
Incidentally - No, it still isn't working - I've accepted that I've lost my cash and wasted a lot of time and effort.

This baby lets you watch tv on your pc, record tv shows onto your hard drive and take pictures from the tv! What more could you ask for. I was very pleased with this product and had no bother installing it.

iam no computer boffin and wanted a simple solution of transforming 8mm tape to disk.
on recieving the PCTV Rave package and following the easy and simple instructions i had it installed up and running within 20 minutes.
This was the first time i had taken the back of a computer and was scared to death of what may follow.I had a great sense of achievement when the computer was switched on and the software installed and the video tapes appeared on screen.
I would reccommend PCTV Rave to anybody who wanted to transform 8mm tape to CD/DVD.
Iam only a novice but this package offers some great features but one step at a time.
The computer i have runs XP Home edition with a pentium 4 processor
