buyers beware of fake sony memory cards November 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i recently bought an 8gb sony pro duo card on this site it turned out to be a fake, the company i bought it from did evently give a refund but they were not happy that i gave them bad feed back, but at the end to the day they have a responsibilty to provide what they are advertising. i reported them to amazon but they are still trading on here..
Not a real SONY product, but works fine October 22, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this memory stick from this seller on October 17th and it is not an orignal SONY product. I could tell this from the cheap sticker label on the front and the difference in design form a genuine SONY memory stick i bought. However this product is brilliant as works in all sony devices including the PSP and "IS!!!" magicgate supported, allthough the write speeds are around 1 mb slower. At 30 cheaper you can't go wrong, but if you have any doubts don't buy from this seller and purchase an official stick from the SONY store.
fakes on amazon October 19, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Buyer Beware, i recieved a fake through amazon z-shops. How do i know?? When you look at the stick through my psp it says magic gate support unknown, instead it should say supported, if it was official. Loses data every time i turn my psp off or delete data(breaks other data on the card). Utter rubbish buy offical from the other major online retailer, itll cost more but it will be worth the extra money in less frustration. Amazon please restricted this item to trusted sellers. If i cant sell a legitamet copy of fifa 08 why should they get away with conterfites on a major retail site??????????????
Please only buy from Amazon June 4, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a great product but please don't fall into the trap of buying a cheap counterfeit stick from a market place seller. I have had the experience but thankfully I didn't spend that much on it at the time. After a few days upon receiving my fake stick, my game data started to corrupt which I was not to pleased about as I had spent over 50hrs on the game!
If you buy a Sony stick from Amazon you will receive a genuine memory stick! I have even heard that someone had spent 40 on a memory stick and turned out to be a fake. All in all this stick is a must buy for PSP owners!
Sony 8GB Memory Stick April 26, 2008 21 out of 29 found this review helpful
I bought this item for 52.90, and i must say it let me down, on receiving the item i immediately used it on my computer, to discover that it was a 8GB card, it was a 4GB, but all of the packaging stated that the product was a 8GB card, this confused me, so i looked closer and notice that there was another piece of plastic stuck over the writing on the memory card itself, my thoughts were that this was a 4GB memory card which looked like a 8GB one, i contacted amazon and they have yet to reply to me, i have used amazon for some time now but this is the first time they have let me down, even though it may be the manufactorers fault, amazon should check that the products they put on sale are genuine and not faulty.
