DSA cashing in on its name March 13, 2006 75 out of 75 found this review helpful
This is a perfect example of DSA using its status to sell a product that does not have the content to justify the price. Almost all of this supposedly interactive CD is merely the presenter explaining examples of hazards (information you will probably have read about in various other publications anyway) and showing you what to expect when you get to the test centre (which you will see on the free CD you are sent when you book your theory test). The 'interactive' part consists of only 10 hazard clips - which, bearing in mind that you can only practise with these once for them to be effective, is a measly amount. If you are buying this mainly for its interactive element, to practise for the test, I really would advise you to explore other options and not be swayed by thinking that because DSA sets the test this will be the best product to buy - there are interactive CDs that have lots and lots of practice clips and will be far more help. This is a waste of money.
A fantastic DVD June 17, 2003 14 out of 31 found this review helpful
This is the DVD version of the vhs/workbook that came out last year and is fantastic. It is a fully interactive version that allows you to stop and start the DVD when you want to, offering lots more information about driving and how to prepare for your Driving Theory Test - of which hazard perception is now part of. There's even an Interactive Hazard Perception Simulation part that simulates the actual hazard perception test and gives you a score to show how you've done plus multiple choice quizzes that test your understanding whether you're a car driver, bike rider or even a bus/lorry driver.
