 WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - EVER December 31, 2007
The software won't even install properly, and they refuse to answer my several emails, and there is no way to telephone them for help.
ABSOLUTELY USELESS - to be avoided at all costs.
Much better than Norton September 11, 2007
I purchased this after the latest update from Norton slowed down my computer so much it wouldn't let me access the internet - used 100% of the CPU every time I launched explorer.
I found this product easy to install and use. It allows for a quick start up time and fast internet browsing. I suspect the two people who reviewed before this have it set on a very intrusive setting (there are many to choose from).
So far I cannot fault this product.

I decided to go for this product based on previous reviews on Amazon, which were generally encouraging. When I first installed it, and after a VERY long scan, it found ALOT of minor things and one fairly serious virus. It even sorted out a couple of problems that I had had with my laptop despite previous editions of anti-virus software. Following restarting my computer I was delighted to find that it started up and ran a bit quicker, which I had been hoping for.
However, on using it with the internet I was horrified by how much it slows up my browser (to the extent where it actually times out). As a result, I have taken to pausing Kaspersky whenever I'm online, which is far from ideal. This may be a rare problem, and in all other areas I've been pleased with this software, but because of the appalling effect on my browser I cannot really recommend it.

I purchased Kapersky as my Norton subscription had expired and all the "experts" rate Kapersky versus the resource hungry Norton. The install process is easy but internet access went from fast pre Kapersky to dead slow / stop post Kapersky. I was on the point of binning it altogether until I found a post on the Kapersky support forum which detailed how to remove all traces of Norton Mcafee antivirus / Security packages from your system. This I have now done and my internet is once again fast with Kapersky knocking on the head a couple of "suspect" programs which Norton never picked up. In short if you are going to install this product make sure you purge all and I mean all traces of other vendors products.

Have been using this for a few weeks now, having been a loyal user of norton. Was compromised a few weeks ago whilst using norton so I did a scan on my desktop pc, but found no viruses or trojans, so i downloaded the kaspersky trial software and it found 11 agent trojans, so i bought it the same day. Will never go back to Norton ever. Feel very safe with this product. As a bonus I could upgrade to version 7.0 for free.
