Better than XP but not for upgraders. November 4, 2008 In my opinion, Vista is a better product than XP but whether or not it is worth upgrading depends upon the specification of your pc. If you have a new pc with above-minimum specification (especially minimum 2Gb ram, preferably 3Gb) and decide to run under Vista, I think you will be happy with it - provided all your software is Vista-compatible. But if your pc has less than 2Gb ram, or includes components more than about three years old, or you don't have Vista-certified versions of software or are hoping to play old games, then I would advise you to stick with XP. It is by no means an essential upgrade and probably you could wait another year or two.
A shocking disgrace June 23, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
You have to wonder what goes on in Redmond.
Here are the following versions of Vista you can buy on Amazon:

Do yourself a favour, buy a Mac.
GREAT!!! DONT LISTEN TO HATERS June 6, 2008 0 out of 9 found this review helpful
Windows Vista Home Premiums is absolutly great.
I am using it right now, and i could not be happier. after my Xp kept crashing and being a pain i decided to ge thtis and IT IS GREAT
Fast, reliable, good looking, easy to use and software compatability isnt that much of a big deal.
All these 1 star are just ugly Apple Fanboys. Macs SUCK. 80% of people with a mac run windows operating system.
Macs are uncomftable to use, nothin like windows which makes day to day tasks a breeze.
and, Macs are just as unreliable as anyother OS in the world. my macbook froze like 2 times a day and kept losing wireless connection
MACS = TOUBLE
VISTA = PLEASE
DEAL WITH IT FANBOYS
consider a mac, pay up $43billion for a mac computer, and all you really buyin is a giant internet browser. becasue that is the only think i could possibly image i would use a Apple computer for.
Itunes sucks
Thats your truth people.
I have tried to love Vista but....... April 18, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
When XP Home was introduced, it was a significant improvement over Win98 and the awful WinME. Win XP pro was, well, much like Win2000 but with prettier graphics. Anyway XP as a whole was a good thing. Try as I might I can't say the same about Vista. The new visual "look" to Vista is awful (to my eyes at least) and all the visual toys nothing more than eye candy. The layout changes to menus etc also just make it awkward to use for seasoned Windows users. With all the superficial changes it doesn't actually do much that is new - it just makes doing the same old stuff awkward and involves alot of re-training of PC users, especially in the workplace. To add insult to injury, there are alot of software compatibility issues too.
There is one good thing about Vista. As an IT support guy. I keep busy wiping Vista off new machines and installing XP. Please don't pull the plug on OEM XP to soon Mr Gates.....
No need to go to Vista :- XP works - Vista doesn't March 30, 2008 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
Simple one this:-
Vista - Terrible. Why upgrade ? Err, well because....er er..well actually you don't need to !!! XP does all the key things that Vista does, only better, quicker, and more reliably, cheaper. Save your money.
