A useful guide to setup and use a Windows XP Media Centre May 14, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is a great book for anyone who has just bought a Media Centre capable PC.
The book provides step-by-step illustrated instructions on how to setup, configure and optimise a Media Centre PC. It also describes how to best use the Windows XP Media Centre software to record TV, watch or create DVDs, listen to the radio, manage and listen to your collection of music, and move your digital media to a portable media player.
If you want to make the most of your new Media Centre, or are thinking about buying one, then this book would be a great guide to learn what you can to do, and how to make the most of Windows XP Media Centre.
Extremely helpful resource April 13, 2006 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Having just upgraded to a new XP media center, pestered the spotty kid at the local PC outlet(in vain)for a book on my new purchase, i was delighted when i found this outstanding users guide. The book has proved a great resource, reading like a media center bible, its great step-by-step guides have had me utilising all possibilities with my plug-ins. Best of all i can do it from my sofa. Nice to read an 'interesting' PC book. Keep up the good work guys.
