4 out of 5 stars Good for those of us ....   January 26, 2008
....who are quite disorganised and/or haven't really got the hang of plotting yet. The 'Storylines' feature works on a principle I've seen outlined in a few 'How To' books about writing, but is a whole lot easier to use as it's impossible to lose or mess up (unless of course your whole PC goes down!).

You still have to do the donkeywork of coming up with ideas in the first place, but I find this programme fun to use and quite helpful in staying focussed on the plot. I'm pleased I bought it!

don't waste your money. Full of useless nonesense, a pathetic card game, why is that in it? An even worse tune for your so called entertainment.
There is nothing in this programme that you will not already have on your computer. the storyline ad-on is okay, but again it is probably just as easy to use an XL file.
A very girly programme of very little use to the series writer

This is really good software - take the time to learn to use it, it's well worth the effort...

5 out of 5 stars Really helpful for serious writers   September 1, 2005

The various facilities offered by this program - in particular the 'Scraps', 'Journal', 'Notebook' and - especially - 'Storylines' are very useful. There is some 'make-weight' here and there but who's to say it would never be useful. Not included in this description is Harriet Smart's e-book on all aspects of producing a novel.
Storylines is the 'killer application': it is used to show each of the plot strands and the events which make up each strand.
The program doesn't do the thinking for you: it is just a tool, but one which really helps the creative process. I certainly recommend it.
