The disk arrived promptly and installed easily on a newly costructed tower PC.It has run without trouble ever since.It installed itself into the local network autmatically and I was able to access webssites without any further setup

paid £95 for it formatted the pc went to put the cd key and its saying its expired so i tried phoning the automated system to activate and basically i cant activate it sounds like its not a genuine product waste off £95

I really can't imagine what the other reviewer was doing to have so many problems. This O/S is rock solid for me.
There are some driver issues that should be investigated before proceeding, as not absolutely everything is supported.
I am currently running 3 64bit O/S machines, one with Vista64 and one with Server 2003 64bit. The third,XP64 is quicker that Vista for the applications I use it for, and simpler to use than Server2003 for everything else.
I can only imagine the other reviewer had an incompatible machine, or perhaps didn't take the time to do the correct driver installs and updates.

Where to begin... basically don't. The only thing more flakey was the XP64 I bought a few weeks earlier. With only the OS loaded I got blue screens galore. Updates didn't and Windows live this that and the other fell over but then were impossible to remove. I expected it to be better than XP64 which was a nightmare but frankly the improvement was marginal. I am sure you get the picture by now. If you want a 64 bit OS then this is not it.
